Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions a person will ever make. The months of research, the site visits, the conversations with family — all of it builds toward a single moment: possession day. For most developers, that is where the story ends. The keys are handed over, and the relationship quietly disappears.
At Praneeth Group, possession day is not the end of the story. It is the first page of a much longer one. The Praneeth Premier League (PPL) is proof of that.
Every summer, Praneeth Group organises a cricket tournament in Hyderabad where each of its residential communities creates a team, formed by the community association, representing the residents who live there. Three seasons in, it has become more than a tournament. It has become a tradition — a reminder that when you buy a home with Praneeth Group, you are not just a customer, you are part of a community.
What is the Praneeth Premier League?
The Praneeth Premier League is a cricket tournament organised exclusively for homeowners across Praneeth Group’s residential communities. This is not a commercial league open to the public. Every player on the field is a Praneeth resident, and every team is formed by the community association of a Praneeth project, which means the people competing are the same people who share walls, lifts, and morning walks.
Season 3 brought together 14 teams representing players from 20 different communities, playing across 7 to 8 weekends. Games were hosted at professional cricket grounds across Hyderabad, including:
- CABA Cricket Ground, Bachupally
- Rao’s Cricket Ground, Dundigal
- Olympia Cricket Ground, Bowrampet
Each team carries its own identity — Avengers, Panthers, Titans, Vikings, Hurricanes, Gladiators, Legends, Blasters — names chosen by residents, creating a competitive and high-energy atmosphere. The format is structured and serious: league matches are played over 16 overs per side, with bowlers capped at 4 overs each, while the knockouts and finals move to 20 overs as the tournament builds to its climax.
Every ball is tracked live on the Praneeth Premier League App and CricHeroes, so residents who cannot make it to the ground can follow the action in real time, and all matches are live-streamed on the Praneeth Group YouTube channel — turning a community tournament into a city-wide event.
More Than a Cricket Tournament
Most real estate companies end their relationship with customers upon possession. Praneeth Group does the opposite — here, possession marks the beginning of long-term community engagement. The Praneeth Premier League plays a crucial role in strengthening neighbourhood bonding within communities, creating connections across multiple residential projects, and building a larger network of Praneeth homeowners in Hyderabad.
Prizes, Recognition, and Real Rewards
The winner’s purse and runner-up prizes reflect how seriously Praneeth Group invests in the experience it creates for its residents. Beyond the team prizes, standout performers are recognised individually through awards, including Man of the Match and Man of the Series — some with cash rewards, others with gifts. Past seasons have seen winners walk away with electric scooters. In Season 3, it was the Avengers who lifted the winner’s trophy in what was a fiercely contested final.
“When you invest in a Praneeth home, you are not just buying an apartment in Hyderabad — you are becoming part of a living, connected community.”
Building Communities Across Hyderabad
Praneeth Group operates at a large scale, with 23 residential communities across the city. What the Praneeth Premier League does is turn that scale into an advantage for residents. Instead of being isolated within their own project, Praneeth homeowners become part of a wider network — one that competes together, celebrates together, and grows together. 23 communities. 8,000+ residents. One tournament that brings all of them into the same space.
Three seasons in, the Praneeth Premier League continues to grow stronger — more participation, more engagement, more memories. Because at Praneeth Group, the goal is not just to build homes, it is to build lasting communities.
