What Is PPL?

Praneeth Premier League is a cricket venture organized by the Praneeth Group. Praneeth Group is one of the best real estate companies in Hyderabad. Owing to their 14 years of service in the city, they have hundreds of projects and quite a few clients in Hyderabad. They have launched this venture to foster a healthy relationship with the same. It is an event lasting over 7-8 weekends of a competitive but friendly sport.

The Aim Of PPL

Twenty communities take part and form 14 teams with eleven players playing in the tournament. These form two groups --- group A and group B.

A Peek Inside The PPL Season

The PPL is a festival for all those who play in it. It is marked by great laughs and moments that people remember forever. Let us see what a season of PPL looks like. The fourteen teams, quite creatively, are named: Avengers, Blasters, Commandos, Gladiators, Galaxians, Hurricanes, Legends, Mavericks, Panthers, Titans, Vikings, Zoltan's, Eternal Knights And Jaguar Riders. The enthusiasm behind the names helps us see the spirit of the game among the teams.

The matches were played in three cricket stadiums namely, Rao's Cricket Ground in Dundigal, Olympia Cricket Ground in Bowrampet, and CABA Cricket Ground in Bachupally. All three of them have fascinating histories associated with them. For example, CABA Cricket Ground was built by Chetan Anand as a sports village over 9 acres.

There were 17 matches played in total. Among these, 15 league matches, a semi-final, and a final. There were some differences between the league matches and the finals. While the league matches have 16 overs and only 1 bowler gets 4 overs, in the finals, there are 20 overs and there are only 4 overs max for bowlers. As per the Praneeth Group rules, there were no provision for rematches. Such a rule implies that if, because of any circumstances, a cancellation occurs, then the teams will get two points.
